Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ya Sin 1 By the Qur'an full of wisdom. 2 That you are indeed one of those sent 3 On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 4 A revelation from the mighty, ever-merciful (God), 5 so that you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned and so they are unaware. 6 The sentence is surely justified against most of them, for they do not believe. 7 We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that they cannot bow their heads 8 And We have put a bar in front of them and a bar behind them, and further, We have covered them up; so that they cannot see. 9 It is the same to them whether you warn them or you warn them not, they will not believe. 10 You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward. 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
