The companions of the thicket denied the messengers 176 Shu'aib said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 And I ask of you no hire therefor; and my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and cause no loss to others. 181 weigh with an even balance 182 "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They replied: 'You are surely one of those bewitched. 185 And thou art but a human being like unto us, and we deem thee to be of the liars. 186 So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful." 187 He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do." 188 Then they belied him; wherefore there laid hold of them the torment of day of shadow. Verily it was the torment of a Mighty Day. 189 Verily herein is a sign; but most of them are not believers. 190 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 191
