▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the setting of the stars 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 in a Book protected (from tampering) 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 Would you say that this statement is a lie? 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 and while We are closer to him than you, although you see [Us] not: 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? 87 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 And if he is one of those on the right hand, 90 Then there is safety and peace (from the Punishment of Allah) for (you as you are from) those on the Right Hand. 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
