The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
