And do not ever assume that Allah is unaware of what the unjust do; He does not give them respite but for a day in which the eyes will become fixed, staring. 42 Racing ahead, their heads raised up, their glance does not come back to them, and their hearts are void. 43 Warn mankind of the Day when the punishment will overtake them, when the evildoers will say: 'Our Lord, grant us respite for awhile, we will answer Your call, and follow the Messengers' Did you not once swear that you would never cease? 44 And you lived among the dwellings of those who wronged themselves, and it had become clear to you how We dealt with them. And We presented for you [many] examples." 45 And they have indeed planned their plan, but their plan is with Allah, though their plan was such that the mountains should pass away thereby. 46 Never think that God will fail in His promise to His messengers. God is mighty and capable of retribution. 47 On the Day when the earth is changed into other than the earth and the heavens, all shall come before Allah, the One, the Conqueror. 48 On that Day you shall see the guilty bound in chains, 49 Their garments will be of pitch, and fire will cover their faces. 50 In order that Allah may repay each soul what it had earned; indeed Allah spends no time in judging the account. 51 THIS IS A MESSAGE unto all mankind. Hence, let them be warned thereby, and let them know that He is the One and Only God; and let those who are endowed with insight take this to heart! 52
