The people of Noah gave the lie to the Messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 107 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me 108 I ask of you no recompense for it, for my only reward is with the Lord of the Universe, 109 so fear God and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 Their account falls only upon My Lord, if you were but aware. 113 I am certainly not one to drive away the believers. 114 'I am naught but a plain warner.' 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 He said, “My Lord, my people have denied me.” 117 Therefore judge Thou between me and them with a (just) judgment, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122
