The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. 42 Are your people who deny the truth better than those? Or have you been given immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Do they say, "We shall be victorious because we are united?" 44 Soon shall the hosts be routed, and they shall turn (their) backs. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 The sinful ones will face the destructive torment of hell 47 The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." 48 We have created everything to fulfill a certain purpose. 49 And Our command is only a fleeting one – like the batting of an eyelid. 50 And We destroyed those like you, is there any that will remember! 51 [They were truly guilty] because all [the evil] that they ever did had been [revealed to them as such] in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom; 52 And every small and great thing is recorded. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 In a seat of truth (i.e. Paradise), near the Omnipotent King (Allah, the All-Blessed, the Most High, the Owner of Majesty and Honour). 55
