No! By the moon 32 And the night when it departs, 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 Except those of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
