[O Men!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built, 27 On high hath He raised its canopy, and He hath given it order and perfection. 28 and darkened its night, and brought forth its forenoon; 29 And after that He spread the earth. 30 He brought out its water and its pastures from it, 31 And the mountains He has fixed firmly; 32 [all this] as a means of livelihood for you and your animals. 33 When the great over-whelming event arrives, 34 The Day when man will remember that for which he strove, 35 And Hell-Fire shall be placed in full view for (all) to see,- 36 So as for he who transgressed 37 And who preferred the life of the world, 38 Will surely have Hell for his abode. 39 But as for him who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from lust, 40 Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge. 41 (Muhammad), they ask you, "When will the Hour of Doom come?" 42 [But] how couldst thou tell anything about it, 43 This matter is in the hands of your Lord. 44 You are but a Herald of Warning, for one who fears it. 45 The Day they see it, (It will be) as if they had tarried but a single evening, or (at most till) the following morn! 46
