The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 by the night swarming, 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Whither then will you go? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
