The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created- 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 Nay! man is most surely inordinate, 6 for he thinks himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely to your Lord is your return. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 Or enjoineth piety? 12 Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? 13 Did he not realise that Allah is watching? 14 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock - 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 So let him call his associates, 17 We also shall call the infernal guards. 18 Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
