And recite unto them the story of Ibrahim. 69 When he said unto his father and his people: what worship ye? 70 They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted." 71 He said: hearken they unto you when ye cry? 72 'Can they benefit you or harm you' 73 They said, "No, but our fathers worshipped them." 74 He said, 'And have you considered what you have been serving, 75 Ye and your fathers of old? 76 They are an enemy to me, except the Lord of all Being 77 "Who created me, and it is He Who guides me; 78 And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink. 79 And heals me when I am sick, 80 Who will make me die, then give me life again, 81 and whom I am eager shall forgive me my sins on the Day of Recompense' 82 My Lord! Bestow Hukman (religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood) on me, and join me with the righteous; 83 And give unto me a good report in later generations. 84 And make me one of the inheritors of the Paradise of Delight; 85 Forgive my father. He has gone astray. 86 "And let me not be in disgrace on the Day when (men) will be raised up;- 87 “The day when neither wealth will benefit nor will sons.” 88 “Except he who presented himself before Allah, with a sound* heart.” (Intact or unblemished.) 89 And Paradise will be brought near [that Day] to the righteous. 90 And Hellfire will be brought forth for the deviators, 91 It shall be said to them, 'Where is that you were serving 92 Instead of Allah? Can they help you or help themselves? 93 So they and all the astray were flung into hell. 94 and the hosts of iblis all together. 95 And there and then, blaming one another, they [who had grievously sinned in life] will exclaim: 96 "By Allah, we were indeed in manifest error 97 When we made you equal to the Lord of the worlds; 98 It is none but those steeped in guilt who led us into this error, 99 and we have no intercessors now, 100 no loyal friend. 101 Would that we had a second chance [in life,] so that we could be among the believers!" 102 Verily! In this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 103 surely, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 104

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
