In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 The One Who taught to write with the pen. 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 Yet man behaves arrogantly, 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 What thinkest thou? He who forbids 9 A votary when he (turns) to pray? 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 So, let him call upon his way! 17 We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)! 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
