The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
