3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 And made his progeny survive, 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
