We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
