Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
All that is in the heavens and the earth magnifies God; He is the All-mighty, the All-wise. 1 He has sovereign control over the heavens and the earth. He gives life and brings death. He has power over all things. 2 He is the First and the Last, and the Manifest and the Hidden, and He has knowledge of everything. 3 It is He who created the heavens and the earth in six stages, then assumed the throne. He knows whatsoever enters the earth, and whatsoever comes out of it, and what comes down from the sky and what goes up to it; and He is with you wheresoever you may be, and He perceives whatsoever you do. 4 To Him belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and unto Him all matters are returned. 5 He turns night into day, and turns day into night; and He knows whatsoever is in your hearts. 6 Believe in God and His Messenger, and expend of that unto which He has made you successors. And those of you who believe and expend shall have a mighty wage. 7 And why do you not believe in Allah while the Messenger invites you to believe in your Lord and He has taken your covenant, if you should [truly] be believers? 8 He it is Who sendeth down clear revelations unto His slave, that He may bring you forth from darkness unto light; and lo! for you, Allah is Full of Pity, Merciful. 9 How is it that you do not expend in the Way of Allah when to Allah belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth? Those who spent their wealth and took part in fighting before the Victory cannot be equated (with those who spent their wealth and took part in fighting afterwards). They are higher in rank than those who spent and fought afterwards. But to each Allah has promised a good reward. Allah is well aware of all that you do. 10
