Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Generous and recording, 11 who know all that you do: 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
