The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
