He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ The Prophet frowned and turned away 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him? 4 As for him who was indifferent, 5 Unto him thou attendest. 6 though it is not thy concern, if he does not cleanse himself. 7 But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose 8 And is also fearful (of God), 9 you ignore him. 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance. 12 (Contained) in honoured pages, 13 exalted, purified, 14 By the hands of scribes. 15 Who are noble, virtuous. 16 Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah; 17 Out of what did Allah create him? 18 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 19 Then made his passage easy (at birth); 20 then causes him to die and buries him, 21 Then when He pleases, He will raise him to life again. 22 But no. He has not fulfilled what was enjoined on him. 23 Let man therefore consider (the sources of) his food. 24 That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, 25 and cleaved the earth, cleaving it asunder; 26 And produce therein corn, 27 and grape vines and vegetables, 28 and olives, and palms, 29 And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees, 30 And fruits and herbage: 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 When the trumpet sounds, 33 On that day man will run away from his brother. 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others). 37 Many a face will be glittering on that day. 38 laughing and joyful, 39 And many a face will be covered with dust on that day. 40 Veiled in darkness, 41 They will be the unbelievers, transgressors. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
