The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the racers, panting, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
