Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
