Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
