The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9
