Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 And raiding at dawn 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
