Nay, by the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 A warning to mankind, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 who will be in Paradise 40 From the guilty. 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
