Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

When the earth is shaken with her (violent) shaking, 1 and [when] the earth yields up her burdens, 2 And man enquires: "What has come over it?" 3 upon that day she shall tell her tidings 4 for your Lord will have commanded her (to do so). 5 Upon that day men shall issue in scatterings to see their works, 6 and whoso has done an atom's weight of good shall see it, 7 and whoever has done an atom's weight of evil, will also see it. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
