The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 who give charity, 4 who guard their privates, 5 Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 Those are the heirs 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 And you are carried on them and on boats. 22
