Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
