Blessed be He Who has placed in the heaven big stars, and has placed therein a great lamp (sun), and a moon giving light. 61 And He it is Who made the night and the day to follow each other for him who desires to be mindful or desires to be thankful. 62 And the bondmen of the Most Gracious who walk upon the earth humbly, and when the ignorant address them they answer, “Peace”. (Good –bye) 63 And these who pass the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing up. 64 and who pray: "O our Sustainer, avert from us the suffering of hell - for, verily, the suffering caused by it is bound to be a torment dire: 65 It is indeed an evil halt and an evil abode;" 66 and who, whenever they spend on others, are neither wasteful nor niggardly but [remember that] there is always a just mean between those [two extremes]; 67 And those who cry not unto any other god along with Allah, nor take the life which Allah hath forbidden save in (course of) justice, nor commit adultery - and whoso doeth this shall pay the penalty; 68 The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace; 69 Excepted, however, shall be they who repent and attain to faith and do righteous deeds: for it is they whose [erstwhile] bad deeds God will transform into good ones - seeing that God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace, 70 He who repents and does good works truly turns to Allah in repentance, 71 and those who do not bear false witness, and when they pass by idle talk, pass by with honor 72 who, when they are reminded of the signs of their Lord, fall not down thereat deaf and blind; 73 who say, "Lord, grant us joy in our wives and children and make us a model for the righteous." 74 Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace. 75 There they shall abide forever: a blessed dwelling and a blessed resting place. 76 SAY [unto those who believe]: "No weight or value would my Sustainer attach to you were it not for your faith [in Him]!" And say unto those who deny [the truth:] "You have indeed given the lie [to God's message,] and in time this [sin] will cleave unto you!" 77
