▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
BUT FOR THOSE who of their Sustainer's Presence stand in fear, two gardens [of paradise are readied] 46 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 47 Having numerous branches. 48 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 49 In which, will be two fountains running. 50 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 51 In them will be Fruits of every kind, two and two. 52 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 53 Reclining there on carpets lined with brocade, fruits of the garden hanging low within reach. 54 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 55 In the midst of these shall be maidens with modest, restrained glances; maidens whom no man or jinn has ever touched before. 56 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 57 (In beauty) like the jacynth and the coral-stone. 58 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 59 Shall the recompense of kindness be aught save kindness? 60 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 61 And beside these there shall be two Gardens. 62 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 63 two [gardens] of the deepest green. 64 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 65 Therein are two gushing fountains of water. 66 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 67 therein fruits, and palm-trees, and pomegranates -- 68 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 69 Therein will be damsels agreeable and beauteous. 70 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? - 71 Fair ones reserved in pavilions - 72 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 73 untouched before them by any man or jinn -- 74 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful carpets. 76 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 77 Blest be the name of thine Lord, Owner Of Majesty and Beneficence! 78
