T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family, "Wait here. I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a brand from it, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' 19 and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. 20 He said, “Pick it up and do not fear; We shall restore it to its former state.” 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
