The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Successful indeed are the believers 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 who guard their privates, 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 Those are the inheritors 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
