3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
