And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 (We delivered them) from Pharaoh. Lo! he was a tyrant of the wanton ones. 31 And We knowingly chose them, among all others of their time. 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 [Now,] behold, these [people] say indeed: 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba? And those who were before them? We destroyed them; they were indeed criminals. 37 And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. 38 We did not create them except with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,- 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 save those upon whom God will have bestowed His grace and mercy: for, verily, He alone is almighty, a dispenser of grace. 42
