And indeed, We delivered the children of Israel from the shameful suffering 30 They (had experienced) under the Pharaoh. He was certainly a tyrant, guilty of excess. 31 And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures. 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 Verily these! they say: 34 "There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. 35 "Then bring back our fore-fathers, if you speak the truth!" 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them because they were indeed Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals, etc.). 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,- 40 The day on which, no friends will benefit each other at all, nor will they be helped. (Except those who are pious – see verse 43:67) 41 save those upon whom God will have bestowed His grace and mercy: for, verily, He alone is almighty, a dispenser of grace. 42
