Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
