The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event takes place, 1 (and none denies its descending) 2 Degrading (some) and exalting (others); 3 when the earth shall be rocked 4 And the hills are ground to powder 5 So they will become like fine dust, scattered in a shaft of light. 6 And ye are classes three. 7 (First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 8 And those on the left hand; how miserable shall those on the left hand be! 9 As for the Foremost, they will be the foremost! 10 They shall be the nearest to God. 11 in the Gardens of Delight 12 A multitude from the ancients. 13 And a few of later ages, 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 Youths of never-ending bloom will pass round to them 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 and such fruits as they shall choose, 20 And flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 The likenesses of pearls well-protected, 23 [And this will be] a reward for what they did [in life]. 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 And [banana] trees layered [with fruit] 29 In shade long-extended, 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 and fruits abounding 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 And couches raised up. 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 We have made them virgins, 36 Loving, of equal age. 37 For those on the right hand; 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
