Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble recorders, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
