The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He was created of spurting water 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 not a flippant jest. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
