O believers, devour not usury, doubled and redoubled, and fear you God; haply so you will prosper. 130 Guard yourselves against the Fire prepared for unbelievers. 131 And obey Allah and the Apostle, that you may be shown mercy. 132 ۞ And vie one with another for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a paradise as wide as are the heavens and the earth, prepared for those who ward off (evil); 133 Who spend [in the cause of Allah] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers of good; 134 And those who, if they commit a shameful act or some wrong against themselves, remember God and seek forgiveness for their sins: For who can forgive except God? They should not be perverse about their doings, knowingly. 135 Their reward will be forgiveness from their Lord and gardens wherein streams flow and wherein they will live forever. How blessed is the reward of those who labor. 136 [MANY] WAYS of life have passed away before your time. Go, then, about the earth and behold what happened in the end to those who gave the lie to the truth: 137 This is a clear statement for men, and a guidance and an admonition to those who guard (against evil). 138 Do not be weak, neither sorrow while you are the upper ones, if you are believers. 139 If a wound should touch you - there has already touched the [opposing] people a wound similar to it. And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people so that Allah may make evident those who believe and [may] take to Himself from among you martyrs - and Allah does not like the wrongdoers - 140 and that God might render pure of all dross those who have attained to faith, and bring to nought those who deny the truth. 141 Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while Allah has not yet made evident those of you who fight in His cause and made evident those who are steadfast? 142 You previously longed for death (in the way of Allah): now you have faced it, observing it with your own eyes. 143
