Alshu'araa' 6 of 11
Noah's folk denied the messengers (of Allah), 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you have no fear of God? 106 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me' 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?" 111 (Noah) said, "I have no knowledge of their deeds. 112 Lo! their reckoning is my Lord's concern, if ye but knew; 113 I would not drive away the believers; 114 “I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” 115 They said: "O Noah! If you do not desist, you will certainly become one of the accursed." 116 He prayed: "O Lord, verily my people accuse me of lies. 117 So open between me and them an opening, and save me and the believers who are with me' 118 So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 surely your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 122
