The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 What, of all creation will you go to (fornicate with) the males, 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 So We saved him and his whole family 170 except an old woman who stayed behind, 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
