The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 and weigh with the straight balance, 182 Wrong not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. 183 Have fear of the One who has created you and the generations that lived before you." 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 You are only a human being like ourselves. Indeed we think you are a liar. 186 Then drop down on us lumps from heaven, if thou art one of the truthful.' 187 He said: "My Lord knows best what ye do." 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 191
