Therefore remind! by thy Lord's blessing thou art not a soothsayer neither possessed. 29 Or do they say: "[He is but] a poet - let us wait what time will do unto him"? 30 Say thou: wait verily I am, with you, among the waiters. 31 Nay! do their understandings bid them this? Or are they an inordinate people? 32 Do they say, "He has falsely invented it (the Quran)?" In fact, they themselves have no faith. 33 Let them produce a scripture like it, if what they say is true. 34 Or were they created out of nothing? Or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and earth? Nay, but they have not sure faith. 36 Or do they have the treasures of your Lord, or are they the authority? 37 Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof. 38 Or, has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?- 40 Do they have knowledge of the unseen, thus, are able to predict (the future)? 41 Do they want to hatch some plot? Those who deny the truth will be the victims of the plot. 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Exalted is Allah far above the things they associate with Him! 43 Even if they were to see a part of the heavens falling down upon them, they would say, "It is only dense cloud". 44 Wherefore let them alone, till they meet their Day whereon they shall swoon. 45 A Day whereon their plotting will avail them not at all, nor will they be succoured. 46 But, verily, for those who are bent on doing evil, there is suffering in store [even] closer at hand than that [supreme suffering in the hereafter]: but most of them are not aware of it. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad SAW) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes, and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep. 48 And for part of the night also praise thou Him,- and at the retreat of the stars! 49
