O Ye who believe! devour not usury, multiplied manifold; and fear Allah, haply ye may fare well. 130 And fear the Fire, which is prepared for the disbelievers. 131 Obey God and the Prophet, that you may be treated with mercy. 132 ۞ And hasten to the for-giveness of your Lord and to a Paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the God-fearing. 133 Who spend [in the cause of Allah] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers of good; 134 These are the ones who, when they commit any indecency and wrong against themselves, instantly remember Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins - for who will forgive sins save Allah? - and who do not wilfully persist in the wrong they did. 135 They shall be recompensed by forgiveness from their Lord and by gardens beneath which rivers flow; there they shall abide. How good is the reward of those who labour! 136 Many similar ways (and mishaps of life) were faced by nations (believers and disbelievers) that have passed away before you (as you have faced in the battle of Uhud), so travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who disbelieved (in the Oneness of Allah, and disobeyed Him and His Messengers). 137 This is a declaration for mankind, a guidance and an admonition unto those who ward off (evil) 138 Faint not, neither sorrow; you shall be the upper ones if you are believers. 139 If ye have received a blow, the (disbelieving) people have received a blow the like thereof. These are (only) the vicissitudes which We cause to follow one another for mankind, to the end that Allah may know those who believe and may choose witnesses from among you; and Allah loveth not wrong-doers. 140 so that God may purge those who believe and wipe out those who deny the truth. 141 Did you suppose that you would enter Paradise without Allah knowing those of you who struggled and who were patient? 142 You certainly wished to die (for the cause of God) before you actually faced death. Then you faced death (in the battlefield and only a few of you had the true desire to die). 143
