Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
