Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Perish the hands of AbiLahab, and perish he! 1 His substance availed him not, nor that which he earned. 2 He shall soon enter a Blazing Fire, 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
