The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
