And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 All the people turned away from him 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 Then, We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous, 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
